6. Pricing, Finance & Payments

Transparent pricing with secure payment options

  1. Currency: Our website may display prices in your local currency for your convenience based on your location. However, our base currency is Pounds Sterling (GBP), and all transactions are processed in GBP. Currency conversion rates are updated regularly and applied automatically at checkout. You can manually select your preferred currency using the country selector on our website where available.
  2. UK Customers: All prices include VAT at the applicable rate. Delivery costs are added at checkout. A VAT breakdown will appear on your invoice.
  3. International Customers: Prices displayed exclude your local import duties, customs charges, and taxes (such as VAT, GST, or sales tax). These charges are set by your country's customs authority and are separate from your purchase price. You are responsible for paying any such duties and taxes, which are typically collected by the courier upon delivery or by customs before release of your parcel. We recommend checking with your local customs office to understand what charges may apply to your order.

6.1 Online vs In-Store Pricing
Prices listed on our website apply to online purchases and may differ from prices or promotions in our stores. Promotions may vary between channels.
We strive to ensure accuracy but may cancel orders affected by obvious errors:

  • If the correct price is lower, you pay the lower amount
  • If higher, we will contact you before proceeding. If we do not hear from you, the order will be cancelled and refunded

Even after a dispatch email, if a pricing error is clear and could reasonably have been recognised as such, we are not obliged to supply at the incorrect price.

6.2 Payment Methods
We accept all major debit and credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and American Express. You can also choose Klarna or Shop Pay at checkout. Autumn and May Gift Cards and Store Credit can be used where available.

6.5 Security & Peace of Mind
We use SSL encryption and secure gateways to protect your information. Autumn and May never stores card details. These are held only by our payment processors for your security.

6.6 Fraud Prevention & Verification
To protect customers and prevent fraud, we may run verification checks and request additional information (e.g., proof of identity or address) before dispatch, particularly for higher value orders or mismatched billing/shipping details. If verification cannot be completed, we may cancel and refund your order.

6.7 Refund Method
Refunds are made to your original payment method. Where mixed payment methods were used (e.g., part gift voucher, part card), we will refund back to each method proportionately where possible.
