Our bespoke service is an inspiring journey into the world of custom jewellery. Each piece we create tells your story, carries emotion, and becomes a treasure to keep close. For over 25 years, Autumn and May has blended traditional craftsmanship with modern artistry to shape pieces by your ideas.

Whether marking a milestone or designing something deeply personal, we work with you to transform your vision into a lovely, tangible treasure. We can incorporate your own diamonds, rework elements from existing pieces into new designs, or source exceptional gems from our trusted, ethical suppliers. Step One: The Inspiration

Commissioning bespoke jewellery is a wonderfully personal experience, and it all begins with a conversation. Whether you prefer to chat in our Greenwich store, over the phone, or by email, we’ll start by getting to know your inspiration. What do you love? What do you definitely not love? What does this piece need to represent?

You might come to us with sketches, photos, or a crystal-clear idea about exactly what you want, or you might just have a feeling a wish for something meaningful that hasn’t fully taken shape yet. Both are perfect starting points. We’ve guided commissions from the faintest spark of an idea to a finished piece that is simply marvellous. We'll discuss materials, from 18ct gold to platinum, and consider your time frame and budget to guide the design toward something that works beautifully for you.

Step Two: The Design

Your story is what draws Our design. Every piece we have ever created started as a sketch sometimes just a few rough scribbles, but it's that magical moment where ideas start coming to life.

Based on our conversation, we'll create initial drawings to bring your vision to life. We also use 3D CAD renderings to give you a photorealistic preview from every angle, so you can see exactly how your jewellery will look. Your feedback guides every step of this process. We’ll refine the design together, adjusting proportions and trying different approaches until it feels just right. Once you're completely happy, the final design is rendered in CAD to perfectly reflect your vision. We'll confirm your choice of materials and finalise stone selections, and once everything is confirmed, we move on to the making.

Step Three: The Creation

Every single commission is handmade, blending classic goldsmithing techniques with careful modern precision. Our craftspeople are specialists in working with precious metals like gold, platinum, and sterling silver, and they bring decades of shared experience in stone setting, engraving, and finishing.

We can expertly mount your own diamonds, incorporate elements from heirlooms, or work with newly sourced stones chosen just for your design. Depending on the intricacy of your piece, we might work directly in metal or create a wax model for casting first. The piece passes through multiple skilled hands, from the goldsmith who shapes the metal to the setter who secures each stone, and finally to the finisher who polishes it to perfection. Quality checks happen throughout the entire process, not just at the end, ensuring your story is made tangible.

The Ultimate Gift

In about four weeks, your bespoke piece will be complete. We will have inspected every millimetre and checked every setting to ensure it not only looks beautiful but will also stand the test of daily wear.
